Ballot-Box Revolution Looms Larger In Nigeria As Obidients Bring Abuja To A Halt In Feverish ‘One-Million March’ (Photos)

The ballot-box revolution in Nigeria loomed larger on Saturday as thousands of supporters of Labour Party’s Presidential candidate, Peter Obi brought Abuja to a halt in a feverish “one-million march”.

This is even as campaign for the 2023 election had yet to kick off. But downtrodden Nigerians are using their hard earned money to mobilise support for Obi, the former governor of Anambra State, known for his integrity and prudent management of public funds.

This had never happened before in the political history of Nigeria, a country notorious for vote buying during elections. But now the masses are spending their own money in these Buhari times as they push for a New Nigeria – a safe, tolerant and fair country where modest dreams could be realized.

The Obidients, as they are called, marched from the Unity Fountain to the Moshood Abiola National Stadium amid heavy security – holding banners and chanting solidarity songs, especially, Obi kere re nke Obi.
