The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who had stirred controversy with his absence, is expected back in the country on today (Thursday) from the United Kingdom, according to presidential spokesperson, Bashir Ahmad.
“After days of intensive political consultations and meetings in London, our presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is expected back in Abuja, later today,” Ahmad said in a tweet.
Tinubu had been unable to kickstart his campaign, because according to his spokespersons, he travelled to the United Kingdom to rest.
The said purpose of his absence had been unsatisfactory to many Nigerians, raising suspicions about the health-status of the APC candidate.
To douse the fears in some quarters, Tinubu had released videos and photos of himself in London, United Kingdom.
However, these failed to allay those fears.
