Police operatives on Thrusday fired teargas to disperse protesters marching in remembrace of those that were killed during the EndSARS movement at the Lekki Tollgate in 2020.
Protesters were seen, in a live footage, scampering for safety and there are photos of several arrest made at the scene of the incident.
The march, led by popular musician, Falz and actor, Mr. Macaroni was said to be peaceful until police stormed the scene to fire teargas at the people to disperse them from the scene.
CHECKPOINTCHARLEY gathered that trouble started when the protesters attempted to dump some of the coffins they were carrying on the road at the Lekki Tollgate, a move that would have hindered the traffic.
Police therefore fired teargas in a bid to disperse the crowd.
