The immediate past governor of Rivers State Nyesom Wike on Monday visited Nigeria’s new President Bola Tinubu again
It is the second time the Rivers strongman is visiting Tinubu within 72 hours.
This time, he was accompanied by former governor of Ebonyi state, David Umahi, respectively, and Senator Godswill Akpabio, who is pushing to become the senate president, amid stiff opposition from other lawmakers.
The purpose of the visit at Aso Rock is still unclear as at the time of filing this report.
However, Wike had in an interview with BBC Hausa said that if Tinubu offered him an appointment, he would first consult his wife and friends before deciding on what to do.
Recall that Wike has also last Friday, alongside the former governor of Delta State, James Ibori, and governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, visited the president.
