The newly appointed inspector-General of Police, Mr. Kayode Egbetokun has reportedly acknowledged receipt of complaint filed against former militant, Asari Dokubo for “illegal possession of firearms and “promoting violence and hatred.”
Recall that Dokubo was seen in a recent video, brandishing AK-47 and threatening to wipe out Igbos.
The complaint was filed by a ‘concerned and patriotic Nigerian’, whose real names are yet to be ascertained as at the time of filing this report.
However, in a video that has gone viral, the complainant disclosed the lodging and receipt of the petition, stressing that Mr. Dokubo is not above the law.
