Emefiele: DSS Operatives Abduct Ikoyi Prison Boss On Court Premises

Operatives of Department of State Services have abducted the Officer in charge of Ikoyi Prisons.

He was abducted on Tuesday after the arraignment of the suspended Central Bank governor, Godwin Emefiele.

The top prison official was seen in a viral video being manhandled by DSS operatives as he was being taken to a stationed van.

Earlier, there was plenty of drama at the Federal High Court, Lagos as operatives of the Department of State Services and officials of Nigeria Correctional Service  engaged in a free for all fight  over who keeps custody of Emefiele after he was granted bail.

CHECKPOINTCHARLEY had reported that Justice Nicholas Oweibo of the Federal High Court Lagos granted Mr. Emefiele bail in the sum of N20 million and a surety in like sum.

The suspended CBN governor was arraigned by the Federal Ministry of Justice for illegal possession of firearms and ammunition but was granted bail in the sum of N20m with one surety, following his “not guilty” plea.
