Suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Mr. Godwin Emefiele, was on Tuesday granted bail by a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos.
After over one month in the custody of Department of State Services, DSS, he was granted bail in the sum of N20 million and a surety in like sum.
The bail followed his plea of not guilty to two-count charge of illegal possession of firearm brought against him by the DSS.
Emefiele’s lawyer, Mr. Joseph Daudu, SAN, had applied for his bail .
Daudu contended that the offence for which Emefiele was changed is bailable.
