‘My Passion To Serve Nigeria’ Made Me Accept Ministerial Offer – Wike

Former Rivers State governor Nyesom Wike has claimed that his passion to serve Nigeria made him to accept the ministerial offer extended to him by President Bola Tinubu.

Mr. Wike said this on Monday when he appeared before the Senate during the screening of ministerial nominees.

The former governor, who is still a member of the opposition, the Peoples Democratic Party, after spinning his Curriculum Vitae and achievements in Rivers, noted that his passion for Nigeria propelled him to accept the ministerial offer.

He said, “I accepted the offer to serve as a ministerial nomination because of my passion to serve Nigeria.”

Te Senate later cleared him for a ministerial role without any grilling.

He was accompanied to the screening by his wife and some of his aides.

Recall that in a viral video that recently resurfaced, Mr. Wike was seen boasting that he would never accept to be a minister.
