At least three appeal courts in the United States on Monday morning declined to take on the request of lawyers to President Bola Tinubu to review the decision of Judge Nancy Maldonado of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, ordering the Chicago State University to release relevant academic record of the president to Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party by 12:00pm (Chicago time) today.
According to Atiku’s legal team, Tinubu’s lawyers approached 3 Appeal courts in the US without success.
They also said that they refused to accept the request by the Tinubu team that they (Atiku’s lawyers) in Chicago should shift the deposition time on Tuesday from 10am to 12noon so as to buy time.
Meanwhile as at the time of filing this report, preparation were been made by the Chicago State University to hand over the documents to Atiku.
