Lawyers to Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party have confirmed that the Chicago State University have handed over the academic records of President Bola Tinubu to them, as ordered by Judge Nancy Maldonado of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
They made the confirmation just few minutes ago in response to an inquiry by investigative journalist David Hundeyin in a Whatsapp message on Monday night.
“We have recieved all the documents from CSU and deposition will follow tomorrow.
“Meanwhile our lawyers are sorting them out one after the other,” the legal team said.
Earlier, at least three US appeal courts had rebuffed a last-ditch effort by President Tinubu’s lawyers to prevent the release of the documents, declining their appeals on behalf of Mr. Tinubu.
