A ministerial nominee, Balarabe Abbas Lawal on Wednesday collapsed during screening on the floor of the Senate.
Mr Lawal, shortly after giving his educational background, collapsed at the podium.
His sudden collapse threw the plenary session into a panic as senators rushed to help revive him.
Senate President Godswill Akpiabio quickly called for water and sugar to be administered to him.
Mr Akpabio also immediately called for a closed session.
Abbas Lawal from Kaduna State, was being screened alongside Dr Jamila Bio Ibrahim from Kwara State and Mr Ayodele Olawande from Ondo State.
