Breaking: INEC Declares Uzodimma Winner Of Imo Gov Election With 540,308 Votes

 The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has declared the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Hope Uzodimma, winner of the last Saturday’s Imo State governorship election after he was said to have won in all the Local Government Areas.

According to the INEC’s state collation and returning officer, Abayomi Fasina, the incumbent governor polled a massive 540,308 votes. While the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, who came second with a total of 71,503 votes.

Senator Athan Achonu of Labour Party, LP, Senator Athan Achonu came third position with the total number of votes 64, 081.

Recall that both Anyanwu and Achonu had called for the cancellation of the election, alleging large scale malpractices and violence.
