The National Executive Council of the Nigeria Labour Congress and the Trade Union Congress on Wednesday night suspended the ongoing nationwide strike over the battering of the NLC President, Joe Ajaero and other pending issues.
The unions said the suspension followed the intervention of the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu.
However, discussions on the labour demands would continue.
