Fire gutted the 10-storey Mandilas Building, located on Broad Street, Lagos Island, on Sunday destroying properties worth several millions of naira in the process.
The cause of the fire is yet known as fire fighters are still battling to put out the fire.
According to update by the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service and Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, “a warehouse in a ten-story building is on fire. The fire originated on the first floor and has now reached the fourth floor.”
Director, of Lagos Sta of the agency, Margaret Adeseye, however confirmed that there was no record of any casualties in the incident.
