
Cairo Ojougboh, a former Adviser on National Assembly Matters to former President Goodluck Jonathan has died on Wednesday while watching the AFCON semi-final match bewteen Nigeria and South Africa.
The family is yet to release a statement about his demise, but a source close to the politician said “The incident happened when the penalty was awarded against Nigeria. Ojougboh was said to have shouted and slumped due to massive heart attack when SA scored.”
Ojuogboh was a former House Of Representatives member who represented Ika Federal Constituency between 2003 and 2007.
He was also the immediate past Director of Projects on the Interim Management Committee (IMC) of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
The former lawmaker, a medical doctor and the Chairman and Founder of Ojougboh Foundation, was born on September 8, 1959 in the Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State.
He was a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former governorship aspirant.
