Former Governor Ihedioha Meets Rebuild Imo Steering Committee In London (PHOTOS)

Former Imo State governor, Chief Emeka Ihedioha Saturday met with members of the Rebuild Imo Steering Committee at Marriott Hotels, London in the United Kingdom.

Recall that Ihedioha was brutalized in early 2020 by a reckless Supreme Court in an absurd decision that annulled the massive mandate given to him by the Imo people in the 2019 general election.

Though the former deputy speaker of the House of Representatives has not officially declared to contest the 2027 Imo gubernatorial election, Imolites have been pressurizing him to run in a bid to rebuild Imo, allegedly battered by the government of Hope Uzodinma – seen by many in the state as an aberration.

Ihedioha, who recently dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), met with the Rebuild Imo members in London as part of familiarization efforts, a member of the group, who did not want to be named, told CHECKPOINTCHARLEY.

According to him, the meeting centred on the need to galvanize all men and women of goodwill who are desirous of rebuilding Imo State “after the years of the locusts.”
