A train heading to Abuja, the nation’s capital, from Kaduna, has reportedly derailed at Jere, Kaduna.
The Daily Trust reported that the train, conveying many passengers departed Kaduna around 8:05 a.m. on Sunday, but derailed at Jere about an hour later.
Security operatives, including men of the Nigeria Police and Army are said to be on the ground to offer support and security.
