BREAKING: Ekiti Magistrate Court Grants Dele Farotimi N30m Bail With Gag Order

A magistrate court in Ado-Ekiti has finally granted human rights activist Dele Farotimi bail in the sum of N30 million, with a gag order.

Farotimi, who is accused of criminally defaming legal icon Chief Afe Babalola (SAN) in his bestselling book, Nigeria’s Criminal Justice System, was granted bail on Friday.

The bail conditions include a N30 million bond, two sureties (one of whom must be a property owner), the submission of his passport, and a restriction on granting media interviews.
