The Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, Peter Obi has visited Human Rights lawyer Dele Farotimi at his Lagos residence.
In a post shared on X, Obi said it was his first time meeting Farotimi since his release from the correctional facility in Ekiti state in December.
“I was pleased to find him in good spirits and deeply encouraged by his unwavering dedication to the struggle for a better Nigeria.”
“@DeleFarotimi exemplifies courage in the face of adversity, consistently taking bold stands for good governance in our nation. I wish him a fruitful and productive year as we continue to work together toward the development of our country,” Obi wrote.
Farotimi had been remanded by the Ekiti state magistrate court in Ado-Ekiti for 21 days over an alleged defamation case.
