Members of the Lagos State House of Assembly have impeached Speaker Mudashiru Obasa over multiple fraudulent allegations.
Obasa was removed by colleagues during a plenary on Monday.
The removal comes barely a month after he was accused of allegedly spending N17 billion to fix a gate that leads to the assembly
The Deputy Speaker of the House, Mojisola Meranda, has replaced Obasa as Speaker.
Meranda represents Apapa Constituency 1.
