
The Ogun State Police Command Tuesday arraigned the suspended Olorile of Orile Ifo, Semiu Adewale Ogunjobi, for allegedly assaulting a 73-year-old chief, Abraham Areola.
The Nigeria Police Force spokesman, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday.
He said Ogunjobi, who was seen in a viral vdieo assaulting an elderly man, was arraigned on three counts bordering on conspiracy, assault and conduct likely to cause breach of peace.
“The Kabiyesi Abdulsemiu Ogunjobi, who assaulted one elderly man in a viral video, in Ifo Ogun State, has been charged to court today February 4, 2025, on a three-count of conspiracy, assault and conduct likely to cause breach of peace.
“He was granted bail while the case was adjourned to 06/03/2025,” the statement said.
The FPRO assured that justice would be served on the matter.
“The police will continue to uphold the rule of law and the core values of the noble profession,” Adejobi said.
