
Nigeria’s House of Representatives Thursday passed the N54.99 trillion 2025 Appropriation Bill.
According to the presidency, the N54.99 trillion budget is aimed at addressing key national financial commitments.
Statutory transfers account to provide funding for constitutionally mandated entities gets N3.645 trillion, While N14.317 trillion was allocated to debt servicing, reflecting Nigeria’s ongoing fiscal obligations.
Recurrent expenditure, covering salaries, overheads, and government operations, will gulp N13.64 trillion.
The highest allocation, ₦23.963 trillion, is earmarked for capital projects under the development fund, aimed at infrastructure growth and economic expansion.
