Gang Of Air Force Personnel Run Beserk At Ikeja Disco Office, Attack Staff, Journalists, Seize Punch Reporter’s Phone

Armed personnel from the Air Force Base in Ikeja, Lagos Thursday ran beserk when they attacked the headquarters of the Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company opposite MITV , Ikeja, Lagos around 7:40 am., assaulting the staff and taking hostage over alleged electric disconnetion at their military base.

Journalist attending an event at the premises were also not spared. They were also molested and beaten.

The Journalists had gathered at the office from where they were expected to proceed to Adiyan in Ogun State for the unveiling of a solar project.

One of those assaulted is a correspondent of PUNCH Newspapers, Dare Olawin.

The military men sighted our him, alongside a TVC cameraman and one other reporter in a coaster bus and then beat and ordered them to sit on the floor.

Olawin’s Android phone, a small Itel phone and a white power bank were reportedly taken away by the men who threatened to shoot him if he tried to say anything.

The Air Force gang, led by a woman seized the office of Ikeja Electric for over one and a half hours, beating the staff and other people around.

The roads leading to the office were blocked, giving the military men a field day to molest those within the premises.

It was gathered that the officers later left the office with engineers and drivers, who they vowed would be forced to reconnect their barracks.
