The All Progressives Congress (APC) Screening Committee has cleared Mr. Valentine Ozigbo, who recently joined from the Labour Party, to contest the party’s ticket for the 2025 Anambra State Governorship Election.
Also cleared are six other aspirants seeking the party’s ticket for the upcoming primary election scheduled for April 5, 2025.
The screening committee, chaired by ex-Governor of Katsina State, Ibrahim Shema, announced the clearance in a statement signed by APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, on Monday.
It said that Ozigbo was granted a waiver.
The other aspirants cleared are Sir Paul Chukwuma, Prof. Obiora Okonkwo, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, Mr. Chukwuma Umeoji, , Mr. Johnbosco Onunkwo, and Edozie Madu.
It added that all the aspirants have received their Certificates of Clearance at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja.
“Accordingly, the party has issued Certificates of Clearance to the aspirants today at the National Secretariat in Abuja. One of the cleared aspirants, Valentine Chineto Ozigbo, has been granted a waiver by the party to contest the primary election,” the statement read.
