I’ll Resume In Senate On Tuesday In Accordance With Court Order – Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan

Kogi Central Senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has vowed to resume her duties in the Senate on Tuesday in line with a court order.

She disclosed this in a chat with journalists while in her constituency for a training programme on Saturday.

This comes amid an appeal filed against the decision by the president of the senate, Godswill Akpabio.

The appeal, which is by no means a stay of execution, is however seen by many as an attempt to prevent Senator Natasha from returning to the senate.

She had accused the senate president of sexually harassing her. The matter is still pending in the senate.

Senator Natasha stressed that the suspension limited her from performing her legislative duties.

She said she has official informed the Senate in writing about her intentions to resume.

The lawmaker noted that despite the controversy surrounding the ruling of the Abuja Federal High Court, she will resume on Tuesday.

“I have pretty much two months more before the six months expire. However, I have written to the Senate again telling them that I’m resuming on the 22nd, which is on Tuesday, by the special grace of God.

“I will be there, because the court did make the decision on that,” she said.
