
A vocal human rights activist in Nigeria, Mr Omoyele Sowore has been arrested by the police at the premises of a high court.
Mr. Omoyele Sowore was whisked away from the precincts of the Federal High Court in Abuja by armed policemen, shortly after he made appearance for the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu.
He had led a peaceful protest asking for Kanu’s release.
It was gathered that he was arrested on the orders of the FCT commissioner of police.
