After over two and half years since assuming office Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu has forwarded a list of three ambassadorial nominees to the Senate for confirmation.
Senate President, Godswill Akpabio read the letter from Tinubu, containing the list during Wednesday’s plenary session.
The nominees are Kayode Are from Ogun State, Aminu Dalhatu from Jigawa State, and Ayodele Oke.
“The list contains three names for now. I am sure others will follow,” Akpabio said after reading the letter from Tinubu.
Mr. Tinubu assumed office as president on May 29, 2023. Since then, he has run the country without ambassadors.
