Star Striker Victor Osimhen Makes History With Galatasaray In Champions League

Star striker Victor Osimhen has further etched his place in Galatasaray’s history by becoming the turkish giants all-time top foreign scorer in the UEFA Champions League after scoring in extra-time against Juventus in Turin on Wednesday night.

With seven goals, the Nigerian international has now ovetaken the Brazilian Mario Jardel, who had six goals.

Osimhen will be aiming to guide Galatasaray reach the quarter-finals by scoring against either Liverpool or Tottenham, their two potential opponents for the round of 16.

With a top performance against the Old Lady, Osimhen is also in running for the Champions League Player of the Week award.

He has been shortlisted alongside Sorloth (Atlético Madrid), Hauge (Bodo/Glimt), and Tchouaméni (Real Madrid) as one of four nominees for this award, which recognizes the best individual performance in the play-off second legs.
