Former Westham player, Carlos Tevez, currently playing for Boca Junior after stints with Man Utd, Man City and Juventus, has demanded £250,000 per week for a return West Ham, the club that made him what he is.
Westham Chairman, David Sullivan confirmed the Hammers had offered Tevez a contract on £150,000 a week, which would have made him the highest-paid player in the club’s history.
But said that the 32-year-old Tevez demanded much more. However, a ddisappointed Sullivan remains confident a deal can be done.
Westham coach, Slaven Bilic says that his team needs a striker but he insists that he will only bring in one if he is good enough.
Tevez is Westham supporters’ favourite after he scored seven goals in the last ten matches of the 2006/07 that helped Westham escape relegation.
