Police Set To Throw The Books At UNILAG Sex-For-Grades Lecturer

The books are about to be thrown at suspended sex-for-grades lecturer of European Languages at the University of Lagos, Dr. Boniface Igbeneghu, as the Lagos State Police Command on Friday invited him for interrogation.

Igbenegbu was exposed earlier in the month by a BBC undercover documentary, showing how he and other lecturers in West African universities have been having sex with female students for grades.

The lecturer, who was also a pastor at Foursquare Gospel Church, has been asked via a letter, signed by the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the SCIID, Yetunde Alonge, to report at the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Yaba, on October 23, 2019.

He was asked to report at D10 section.

Igbenegbu was seen in the BBC video admitting to the existence of a “cold room” where male lecturers at UNILAG had sexual relations with female students in exchange for good grades.

UNILAG has temporarily suspended him pending the outcome of investigations.

Foursquare also did the same.
