Former Nigeria’s minister of petroleum and consultant virologist, Prof Tam David West, has died at the age of 83.
A family member, who confirmed his death on Monday, said he was not ill the last time she spoke with him.
The late David-West, who was also an ex-commissioner for Education, was said to have died Monday morning.
The ex-minister was once the minister of Petroleum under Muhammadu Buhari military administration and also the minister of Mines, Power and Steel under Gen. Ibrahim Babangida’s military aberration.
