
An Abuja High Court has ordered the final forfeiture of assets valued at billions of naira allegedly belonging to businesswoman and Lagos socialite Ms Aisha Achimugu, to the Federal Government of Nigeroa
The forfeited assets include jewellery worth N4.645 billion, 11 exotic vehicles valued at N4.293 billion, $50,000 cash, and N30 million cash.
Justice Jude Onwugbuzie gave the order on Thursday while delivering judgment on an application filed by the the country’s anti-graft agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), seeking the final forfeiture of the properties.
The forfeited items comprise high-value personal effects and cash holdings linked to Achimugu, a businesswoman whose assets had earlier been the subject of legal proceedings.
