Chelsea captain, John Terry has confirmed that he will play in the Joseph Yobo’s testimonial slated for May 27 in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, The Nation has reported.
“We are really excited by the confirmation of John Terry for the Yobo Centenary Game in Port Harcourt. He’s one big player who is very popular here in the country because of England and Chelsea’s large follower-ship in Nigeria,” the Coordinator of the Centenary Game, Waidi Akanni, told africanfootball.com.
Also Arsenal legend, Thierry Henry and England striker, Wayne Rooney are also expected along with other players from the Premier League and across Europe.
Other African players that will feature include Samuel Eto’o Fils, the Ayew Brothers, Dede and Jordan, Sulley Muntari, Djibrin Cisse and Tresor Lualua, among others.
