Militant group, Niger Delta Avengers left President Muhammadu Buhari biting his nails when it stroke again Friday morning, bombing yet another crude oil pipeline, belonging to Agip ENI, in Bayelsa state.
The group in a tweet on its twitter handle @NDAvengers, said: “3:am of Friday @NDAvengers blow up the Obi Obi Brass Trunk line belonging to Agip ENI. It is Agip’s major crude oil Line in Bayelsa State.”
Regarding the non- purchase of Nigeria’s oil, the group said in another tweet: “It is good as foreign refineries stop buying Nigeria oil because the Nigeria state has been robbing the Niger Delta of her oil and gas.
“We will inform the international communities when we are open for business,” the Avengers said.
Buhari, had set up a committee to negotiate peace with militants in the Niger Delta region and even withdrew troops from the area to pave way for peace. But it seems, the Avengers are not interested in dialogue. The group says it wants Niger Delta people to control their own resources.
